Social Media allows emergency agencies to quickly get information out to the masses. It is now much easier to coordinate relief efforts and to provide public with information that they need to know.
When emergency agencies utilize social media, it truly becomes one of the most beneficial techniques they can use. It can help in so many ways. One of the most important ways is by providing truth in reporting. When agencies use social media to report on incidents, it allows readers and media to get accurate information. Monitoring social media allows agencies to dismiss false reports promptly.
